fear of success

If you don't try, then you fail, that's a fact. but if you do try, you might succeed, and that would be nice, but what happens if you do try, but you still fail?? that's the no fun part. so, sometimes, it's easier to not try, because it's easier to fail if you don't try, whereas if you fail but you did try, that's the one that hurts.  gotta get around that...

hats

It's not that I like hats or anything. It's just that sometimes I feel like I wear too many of them. I am a mom first, but I am also a rancher and a girlfriend and an employee.  I keep my house, and I write stories and train horses.  Sometimes it seems like I am juggling too many plates and keeping it all organized can be overwhelming.  And this is Wyoming, where the weather is unpredictable and can be a little harsh.  BUT, today I just finished playing with my horse, Muffin. and she did really great. she can now walk AND trot on a circle and we did a few changes of direction, and she didn't like those at all.
